PACE Finally on Verge of Figuring Out Private Enterprise Has a Better Idea

Pace provides an opportunity for those without motor vehicles to get free food at Nunda Township on Fridays. But it didn’t show up one day.

It was former McHenry County Board member Nick Provenzano who advanced the suggestion that PACE supplement its dial-a-ride bus service with Uber.

He limited his idea to times when no PACE service was availalble.

That seemed too limited to me at the time.

Too many Dial-a-Ride buses were used for one person or family.

Now, the new head of PACE says he is willing to look at Uber.
